Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does it take to see results from physical therapy for back pain?

Many patients notice improvements within the first few sessions, though long-term progress depends on the severity and duration of your condition. Acute back pain (recent injuries) often responds quickly, while chronic pain may require a longer treatment plan. During your first visit, we'll discuss your personalized timeline and set realistic goals together.

  • Do I need a referral to start physical therapy?

No referral is needed to start physical therapy in Virginia. You can schedule your first appointment directly with us. As an out-of-network provider, we offer personalized care without insurance limitations, giving you more one-on-one time and advanced treatment options.

  • What should I wear to my first appointment?

Wear comfortable workout clothing that allows you to move easily. For back pain evaluations, loose-fitting clothing works best so we can assess your movement and provide hands-on treatment. Athletic shoes are recommended.
